Verlo Mattress Factory Stores Opens New Location In Knoxville, TN

August 14, 2004 -- Verlo Mattress Factory Stores, the nation’s largest Craftsman-Direct® mattress retailer, announces the grand opening for its new factory/showroom location in Knoxville, Tennessee, located at 5307 Washington Pike. This new 2,700 square foot facility is the first factory/showroom model store for this market. To celebrate, the Knoxville store will be hosting several fun-filled events throughout August.

A ribbon cutting ceremony with the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce will be held on August 11th at 11:30 AM. Verlo’s founder, Dale Williams, and President, Dave Young, will be flying in from the Whitewater, Wisconsin Home Office to be in attendance during this ceremony, along with several local officials. A reception will follow the ceremony.

On August 14th, everyone is welcome to attend the several fun-filled activities and events that are planned, including:

300 bracelets good for free admission to Dollywood Theme Park on Labor Day will be given out on a first come, first serve basis.

Participate in the "Princess & the Pea Contest." Customers will have the chance to guess how many "peas" are between the mattress and box spring for a chance to win a custom-built queen size mattress set. The content takes place for the entire month of August.

Knoxville's Fire Station 11 will also be in attendance, building five beds that will be used at the fire station.

Gibbs High School cheerleading squad will be hosting a car wash on Saturday, August 14th, starting at 2:00 PM.

Leviton Adds Hinged Covers to Media Enclosure Line
Structured Media System now offers flush-mount or hinged covers, with optional lock.

Hinged Covers are now available for 14-, 28- and 42-inch Structured Media™ Centers, Leviton Voice & Data Division announced this week. The new hinged covers, with optional lock, were designed specifically for customers who requested a dynamic alternative to Leviton’s more conservative, screw-on, flush-mount cover.

Manufactured from white, powder-coated, scratch-resistant steel, the Hinged Covers open 180 degrees and come in three sizes to fit Leviton’s Series 140, 280 and 420 Structured Media Enclosures. Easily mounted on the left or the right of the unit, they offer easy access for frequent adds, moves and changes, and the added security of an optional lock. Built-in precision hinges and concealed fasteners enhance the overall durability and attractiveness of the design, which features an overlap to conceal any irregular drywall cuts.

“There’s a lot of excitement in the marketplace about our Structured Media Centers,” said Brian Carberry, Leviton Residential Product Manager. “Most people really like the security of the flush-mount cover. But one of the terrific things about the SMCs is how flexible they are--because they’re designed for shifting technologies and accommodate frequent changes in home media setups. So we had a lot of input from people who wanted to take advantage of that--who wanted an easier way to get in and out of the enclosures, and to still keep them safe from idle tampering.” The new Hinged Covers were the result of that input.

To let customers take advantage of the new choices, Leviton will now offer the enclosures packaged separately, where previously they were only available kitted with flush-mount covers. SMC kits with flush-mount covers will continue to be offered.
